Summary

Merges/Concatenates columns together.

Description

This tool concatenates the content of columns together. The resulting string is added in a new column.

General comments (Warning/Tips)

If your input file is not tab-delimited, use Text Manipulation→Convert.
All the original columns are preserved.

Input

  • select data: select the tab-delimited input file.
  • Merge column: select the first column to merge. Columns are referenced with c followed by the column number ( Example : c1 refers to the first column.)
  • with column: select the column to be concatenated to the first column you chose.
  • Add new Columns: use this option to concatenate additional columns.

Output

The output is in tabular format and it contains one additional column with the merged values.

Usage Example: merging the chromosome and gene names.
