Summary

Selects specified columns in dataset.

Description

This tool outputs user defined columns of one input dataset in a new dataset.

General comments (Warning/Tips)

The original delimiters ( if not tabs ) will be replaced by tabs.
If you specify more columns than actually present, empty spaces will be filled with dots.
The columns will be displayed in the order you entered them in the field: cut columns.

Input

  • cut columns: enter a comma separated list of columns to keep. Columns are referenced with c followed by the column number ( Example: c1 refers to the first column).
  • delimited: select the delimiters used in the input file. It has to be one of the following elements:
    • Tab
    • Dot
    • Comma
    • Dash
    • Underscore
    • Pipe
  • from: select the input file.

Output

This tool outputs a new tab-delimited dataset containing the selected columns.
